What is Seeing Yellow?
Seeing Yellow is an annual campaign that engages individuals, groups, and businesses to utilize their platforms and circles to increase awareness of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Canada, and help raise funds in support of our work.
Who can join this campaign?
Anyone can participate in this campaign, at any time! Check out some of our ideas below on how you can get involved. We encourage you to get creative – we’re here to support whatever initiative you choose to bring awareness to the cause!
How can I participate?
Individuals & Small Businesses
- Design a custom item/service or choose an existing item/service to raise funds for NIMC
- Ex. feature yellow dessert, custom candle scent, small batch beer
- Host an event and direct donations to NIMC
- Ex. golf tournament, activity class, photography class
- Showcase the colour yellow or the NIMC yellow rose
- Ex. put the decal up, create a yellow in-store display
- Take our 30 minute online course and share it online
Large Businesses & Corporations
- Host a “lunch and learn” where you watch NIMC awareness videos
- Encourage team members to take our 30 minute online course
- Make #NotInMyCity one of a chosen charity partner
- From March to Aug 31, 2022 all donations can be made through BFK and matched up to 50%
